BIOGRAPHY

After 10 years of construction contracting over seas, Sgt. Perkins did 8 years of Army service as a 12 Bravo (Combat Engineer/Bomb Hunter), which included 2 tours to Afghanistan (Helmand Province Afghanistan 2010-11, Paktya Province, Afghanistan 2012-13). He overcame numerous obstacles while deployed and was awarded many awards including: Meritorious Service Medal, Valorous Unit Citation, Purple Heart, Combat Action Badge, Army Commendation Medal w/ Oak Leaf, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/ 2 Campaign Stars, NATO Afghanistan Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (two), and more.

When Sgt. Perkins returned home, he helped create and is now President of the “Heroes Hunting Foundation” a Federally registered 501(C)3 non-profit focusing on Veterans from ANY theater and ANY time frame, not just post 9/11, that have been deployed, getting them out into the field to hunt and fish as a form of therapy.
