Jonathan Braun is a Firefighter/Paramedic with the City of Madison (WI) Fire Department, and also the WI State Director for the Sportsmen’s Alliance. He works to protect and promote the outdoor heritage in any way way that he can. His career offers him the opportunity to spend over 100 days in the field every year, where most days are spent chasing waterfowl, traveling to several different states and Canada with his Lab, Jax, by his side. While waterfowl hunting is Jonathan’s passion, he pursues all game, from ducks to deer, turkeys to bear, or pheasants to rabbits. He has recently been fortunate enough to be able to introduce his kids to the outdoors, and to pass on his passion to the next generation of sportsmen.
The Sportsmen’s Alliance protects and defends America’s wildlife conservation programs and the pursuits – hunting, fishing and trapping – that generate the money to pay for them. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation is responsible for public education, legal defense and research. Its mission is accomplished through several distinct programs coordinated to provide the most complete defense capability possible.
